History of the company
Establishment of ATM MIKODA company – Automobile Parts. The company opens production
of a few references of full brake disks. There are 10 employees.
Introduction of the production of fun disks and brake drums . Production increase up to 20
references of brake disks and drums. Employment rises to over 20 employees.
We are granted the Safety Certificate, issued by Industrial Automobile Institute in Warsaw,
authorizing us to label our goods with „B” safety mark. Introduction of further references
of brake disks and drums to manufacturing process.
We are moving to a newly built plant - manufacturing hall, finished product and raw materials
warehouse, office building.
Extension of the group of suppliers. Establishing of a cooperation with an English “Precision
Disc Castings LTD” casting house, the member of EUROPEAN COMPONENTS LTD
consortium, and with TEKSID foundry.
Introduction of EAN-13 bar code for our products. Our Bar Coding Unit No: 45425
It is the time of a dynamic development of domestic distribution network. The company
cooperates with all leading spare parts distributors in Poland.
The purchase of Iron Foundry in Kutno from Centrozap company. The foundry continues the
production of brake disks’ and drums’ casts as well as other type of casts made of gray and
nodular iron. Owning to a long standing tradition and generally acknowledged quality of casting
the foundry is gaining new clients in the whole of Europe. In progress there is a process of
Foundry modernization. We are introducing new casting technologies through the purchase of
casting appliances. We are opening a new production line of brake disks and drums operated
by newly bought CNC machines. We are building our own tool-room and pattern shop.
Employment rises to over 200 emploees. ATM MIKODA becomes independable on outside
casts and equipment suppliers, which allows to shorten the time of new products introduction
to the manufacturing process and adaptation to market’s and clients’ needs.
Thanks to the purchase of other machines and appliances modernization of further technological
processes is being continued. A team of designers is working on a new package graphical design,
thus ATM MIKODA goods are perfectly recognizable by clients. A new branch office and
a warehouse in Sweden - MIKODASCANDINAVIA are established. A significant mobility
improvement as well as shortened supply time are possible due to both the purchase of other
lorries and the fact that we have become independent on external transport services.
Other investments planned to be made on the turn of the years 2004/2005 (such as purchase
of fully automated induction furnace, moulding sand processing station, core production machines
and some vertical working centers), will result in further quality improvement and extension
of the productive capacity.
